Together matters.

The churches of the Community Church Movement have a long tradition of working for positive change in our communities and throughout the world. That’s because people like you – who have generously sacrificed both time and money – have a heart for those in crisis and those in need. Over the previous fourteen years, your collective generosity has amounted to $9,183,933 in donations to the Christmas Offering., proving that we really are STRONGER TOGETHER!

PROVERBS 25:22 (MSG)

“Your generosity will surprise him with goodness, and God will look after you.”

A Commitment to faithful generosity and service

This year, we’re asking each and every person who is a part of the Community Church Movement to prayerfully commit to two actions as a part of the Christmas Offering::

  1. Give of your resources: The Christmas Offering is a chance for our church to make a difference in our world through financial generosity. Would you prayerfully consider what your financial gift would be? We believe that if each one of us does what Jesus is asking us to do, we’ll have more than enough to meet every need.

  2. Give of your time: Our goal for this year’s Christmas Offering is not just to give of our financial resources, but to give of our time. We have many service projects available in November and December where you can join with friends, family members, and others from our church to volunteer in making a difference through our local service partner organizations.

A track record of Generosity

Over the past decade and a half, The Christmas Offering has created a legacy of generosity that has made a difference in our local, regional, and global community. The following is a list of some of the many things that have been accomplished through the Christmas Offering this year:

HERE

Through the Christmas This year, we sponsored 122 service projects, with 1,758 volunteers contributing 6,558 hours of their time to serve our communities. The value of their labor is over $215,000, which is over and above the $105,000 we invested in our cities and non-profit partner organizations.

Bilateral Safety Corridor Coalition (BSCC)

We assisted the Bilateral Safety Corridor Coalition as they served 275 victims of human trafficking, bringing the total number of individuals who have been served by the BSCC since the beginning of our partnership to 1,775. Through our assistance, the BSCC continues to offer emergency shelter, victim services, transportation, and support with basic needs including medical care and counseling.

fostering love community closet (FLCC)

The Fostering Love Community Closet (FLCC) works directly with county and city social workers to provide clothing, shoes, and other items to support families as they assist foster children in our community. We provide the facility, resources, and funding to ensure that this resource is available to all families who need help in caring for foster children.

SAN DIEGO RESCUE MISSION (SDRM)

For over a decade, the Community Church Movement has provided funds and volunteers to support the work of the San Diego Rescue Mission as they meet the immediate needs of the homeless and unhoused community in San Diego while also addressing the underlying causes leading to housing loss and instability. We continue to provide funds for their outreach work as well as volunteers for service projects that further their efforts.

code 7

Code 7 is a unique ministry supporting the officers of the Chula Vista Police Department. The current Code 7 chaplain oversees and trains the CAST team of volunteers which provide 24-hour trauma coverage for any crisis in the city of Chula Vista.

NEAR

The Christmas Offering also provides funding for projects that impact communities and people beyond our local setting. These efforts seek to make a difference for Jesus throughout our region.

Homes of Hope:

Through your generosity and our ongoing partnership with Homes of Hope, the Community Church Movement has now sponsored the construction of 25 homes for families in need in Baja California, including 2 this year.

Power House Sober Living:

For over five years, the Community Church Movement has provided funding to assist Power House Sober Living as they support recent graduates of residential substance abuse recovery programs and assist with their transition back into the working world.

Ministry in Mexico:

Through our churches in Zona Rio and Playas de Tijuana, we serve some of the most desperate and marginalized communities in Tijuana, including refugees, those in recovery, and those living on the streets.

Prison Ministry:

Our church movement currently supports a weekly program for the detainees at the Otay Mesa Detention Center, who are provided with spiritual growth opportunities and encouragement in both Spanish and English. This year, we also provided Easter and Christmas service to detainees at the facility.

FAR

Although the Christmas Offering makes a difference in our local communities, we believe that we have both a responsibility and an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with a world in need. Whether it’s around the block or across the globe, we want to make a difference in the world around us.

bright hope

In 2025, we were able to successfully transition to a partnership with World Help that has allowed us to more effectively manage child partnerships at the Bright Hope school and orphanage in Bulanga, Uganda. This has both expanded our impact and increased the communication between sponsor families and the children of Bright Hope! Through our efforts, over 300 children are now sponsored by families and individuals from the Community Church Movement. Going forward, our Christmas Offering will allow for special projects such as new rooms, beds, desks, and clothing to be provided there, increasing the overall experience for students who call this school home.

Church Planting

We have supported or planted 57 churches that are serving and reaching their communities for Christ. Collectively these churches are ministering to thousands of people every week.

Disaster relief

The churches of our movement recognize that natural disasters are an unfortunate reality of our world. Rather than “pass the hat” reactively every time a disaster strikes, we have adopted a proactive stance, setting aside funds in advance of each calendar year so that we can provide funds to disaster relief agencies rapidly when needs arise. Within the past few years, we have provided funds to relief agencies for wildfire response in Los Angeles, floods in Texas, and earthquake response Myanmar and the Philippines.

Our God-Sized Goal for this year's Offering is:
$662,500

This amount is big, but it's achievable if each and every family in our movement of churches joins in this effort to bring both generosity and service to our community.

How we can reach our goal

As we embark on this meaningful journey together, let's align our hearts with Christ's Kingdom through intentional and generous giving. Here's a guide to help you navigate the path towards reaching our goal:

  1. PRAY: Begin by seeking God's guidance and discerning His will for your contribution.

  2. CONTRIBUTE: Whether it's a financial contribution, a pledge of time and talents, or both, your commitment plays a vital role in advancing the Kingdom.

  3. CELEBRATE: Witness the tangible impact of your generosity as we collectively work towards our goal. Take joy in the stories of hope and help that unfold through your giving.

Thank you for being a part of the Christmas Offering!
